Improving Orofacial Pain Management in Australia and New Zealand
The field of orofacial pain consists of the diagnosis and management of acute and chronic pain and related disorders in the oral, facial, and head regions and its impact on the individual, family and friends and society at large. This pain includes toothache and otheroral pain, jaw muscle and joint pain (temporomandibular disorders), nerve pain (orofacial neuropathic pain), headache/migraine, and related disorders.
The Academy is asking for input on how to improve awareness and management of evidence-based orofacial pain management by dental and other health practitioners and the broader community. We need your help. If you have experience living with orofacial pain, or know someone who has, we want to hear from you. Please fill out our orofacial pain survey here.
