Pain Society Alberta World Pain Summit 2021

The Pain Society Alberta World Pain Summit 2021 was held on the weekend of 15-17 October.

The Pain Society of Alberta is a multidisciplinary team of health care professionals who share a common interest in and commitment to the study, treatment, and management of pain. Their mission encompasses the provision of education, resources, and support for healthcare providers in an effort to improve patient care delivery and outcomes for people struggling with persistent pain.

The event was a global opportunity to hear and learn about unique pain management strategies within Canada, the United States and Australia.

Painaustralia CEO Carol Bennett was a panelist on Leading the Way: Provincial, National and International Pain Advocacy. The conversational styled panel engaged the audience to hear about updates from each pain organisation noting challenges, successes and creating a meaningful dialogue to ask questions and share learnings from each other with the aim of building bridges for a better future for all people living with persistent pain.
