Call to join the Painaustralia Consumer Advisory Group
Two years ago, Painaustralia established its Consumer Advisory Group (CAG) comprised of a diverse range of consumers with different pain conditions from around Australia.
We are currently seeking expressions of interest from people living with chronic pain as part of an expansion of the group.
The CAG provides people living with chronic pain a voice in policy and advocacy. It provides Painaustralia, all levels of government, academic partners, and our broader network with valuable insights into the day-to-day challenges of people who live with chronic pain.
The advice provided by the CAG will be used to inform the development of Painaustralia’s policy and advice that aims to improve outcomes for people living with chronic pain.
As a member of CAG, you will be part of a team that will:
- assist Painaustralia in identifying gaps, barriers, strengths, and opportunities for improvement in chronic pain management in Australia;
- comment on topical and priority issues requiring consumer and community engagement by Painaustralia; and
- assist, advise and work together with Painaustralia to improve chronic pain management in Australia.
The CAG meets four to six times a year (or as required) online and there is communication on a regular basis via email.
If you support Painaustralia’s strategic goals and values and would like to be part of the CAG you can submit your nomination here.
