Expansion of our Consumer Advisory Group
We are delighted to announce the expansion of our Consumer Advisory Group. The group provides people living with chronic pain a voice in policy and advocacy. It provides Painaustralia, all levels of government, academic partners, and our broader network with valuable insights into the day-to-day challenges of people who live with chronic pain.
The CAG is chaired by board director and consumer Mary-Lynne Cochrane and it is held in high regard by health and pain stakeholders and governments around Australia.
Painaustralia put a call out for nominations earlier this year and were overwhelmed with the response. We would like to thank everyone who put themselves forward for the group.
Our new members are:
- Alexandra Christie from Coolbellup in Western Australia;
- Maria Heredia from Adelaide;
- Jason Styles from Goulburn, NSW;
- Deidre Pinto from Melbourne, Victoria;
- Gabriella Kelly-Davies from Sydney, NSW; and
- Janine Monty from the ACT.
They join a group of dedicated consumers who are already on our CAG. To read more about our newest CAG members, their biographies are on our website here.
We would like to thank all the members of the CAG for the valuable insights and feedback they have provided throughout the year, and we look forward to the first meeting of the new expanded group in December and throughout 2022.
