Painaustralia partners with PMRI, University of Sydney, the Kolling Institute and NSW Health for a global conference on opioid deprescribing

‘Descending the Analgesic Ladder’ - global conference on opioid deprescribing

Painaustralia is pleased to partner with our founding members, the Pain Management Research Institute, the Kolling Institute, University of Sydney and NSW Health for a forum that will look at the how, when and why of opioid de-prescribing in Sydney on Friday 29 November 2019.

Current guidelines recommend deprescribing opioids for patients with chronic pain, however de-prescribing opioids in this population is challenging and a source of confusion for clinicians and patients alike.

This symposium brings together local and international experts and will address the complex challenges and impact of de-prescribing opioid medications.
