Proposed Re-Scheduling of Ibuprofen: Have your say

The Advisory Committee on Medicines Scheduling (ACMS) is currently considering restricting the sale of ibuprofen to pharmacies only and upscheduling packs of ibuprofen medications that are greater than 30 units to be pharmacist-only. Products containing ibuprofen include Nurofen and Advil.

The ACMS makes recommendations to the Department of Health on the availability of medicines and is responding to a request on this issue.

Painaustralia is interested in the views of people with chronic pain who use ibuprofen for pain relief and others with an interest in this issue.. Your views will help us prepare a response to the ACMS interim decision, which is due on 5 February 2018.
