Painaustralia is a leading national advocacy body working to improve understanding and treatment of acute, chronic and cancer pain.
Established in 2011, our focus is to work with governments, health professional and consumer bodies, funders, educational and research institutions, to facilitate implementation of the National Pain Strategy Australia-wide.
We advocate for improved health policy and practice; we promote access to education and training for health professionals; and we work to raise awareness of chronic pain within the community through media and education campaigns, to help reduce the stigma of this silent epidemic.

Our mission is to improve the quality of life of people living with pain, their families and carers, and to minimise the social and economic burden of pain on individuals and the community.
We are calling on the Federal Government to make pain a national health priority and ensure equitable access to effective pain services for all Australians.
